Personal Statement:
A 500-word essay describing your academic and career goals, your motivation for applying to the Honors Academy, and how you believe this program will help you achieve your aspirations.

Letters of Recommendation:
Two letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, or mentors who can attest to your academic abilities, leadership potential, and character.

Resume:
A detailed resume highlighting your academic achievements, leadership roles, extracurricular activities, work experience, and community service involvement.

Academic Transcripts:
Official high school transcripts showing coursework and grades.

Standardized Test Scores:
SAT or ACT scores.

 


Criteria for Admission:

Academic Excellence:
• Minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• Strong performance in advanced coursework (AP, IB, Honors classes).

Leadership Potential:
• Demonstrated leadership roles in school or community organizations.
• Participation in leadership development programs or activities.

Community Service:
Commitment to community service with a minimum of 50 hours of documented service.

Personal Statement:
A compelling personal statement that articulates your goals, motivation, and fit for the Honors Academy.

Recommendations:
Strong letters of recommendation that highlight your academic potential, leadership qualities, and character.

Interview:
Selected candidates may be invited for an interview with the Honors Academy Admissions Committee to further assess their fit for the program.

 


Application Deadline:

Applications for the Honors Academy must be submitted by July 31, 2024. Late applications will not be considered.
