Admission Requirements

Full Admission

To be fully admitted to the Florida 久久精品福利资源 Graduate Teacher Education Program, candidates must:

  1. Complete the Graduate Application for Admission.
  2. Hold an earned baccalaureate or graduate degree, with a 3.0 GPA in the last 60 hours on a 4.0 scale, from a regionally accredited institution.*
  3. Submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended (must bear the institution’s seal and official signature).
  4. Provide three (3) completed Recommendation Evaluation Forms.
  5. Submit an essay stating goals for graduate study.

Additional Requirements for State-Approved Programs (Initial Certification Programs):

  • Provide official passing scores for the University Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST), PRAXIS I, or General Knowledge test (GK) (or an equivalent state-approved test).
  • A GRE score of 1000 (pre-2012) or 300 (post-2012) is acceptable in lieu of a basic skills test.
  • International Students: Submit transcripts evaluated by an approved evaluation service and, if applicable, TOEFL scores.

Conditional Admission

Candidates who do not meet full admission requirements may be granted conditional admission if they:

  1. Hold an earned baccalaureate or graduate degree with a 2.5 GPA in the last 60 hours on a 4.0 scale from a regionally accredited institution.
  2. Earn a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the first 12 graduate credit hours at Florida 久久精品福利资源 to gain full admission.
  3. Provide official transcripts, three recommendation forms, a graduate application, and an essay.

Earning a Second Master鈥檚 Degree

Candidates who wish to pursue a second master鈥檚 degree must:

  • Complete a new graduate application form for the program of interest.
  • Request approval for course exemptions (up to 6 credit hours) for previously completed courses, subject to review by the Dean or Graduate Program Director.
  • Complete a minimum of 24 credit hours in the second-degree program.
