Dual enrollment is an acceleration mechanism that allows eligible high school students to simultaneously enroll in college course(s).
According to the US Department of Education, college credit earned before high school graduation reduces the average time to earn a degree and increases the likelihood of graduation for the students who participate in these programs.
The credits students earn at Florida 久久精品福利资源 count toward high school graduation and can be applied to a college degree or certificate. Dual enrollment students also receive university incentives such as a Lion ID card, access to the FMU library, student resources, and the chance to experience FMU.

Enrolling at FMU gives outstanding high school students a wider range of courses to choose from. Any course in the Statewide Course Numbering System (SCNS) can be offered as dual enrollment, except remedial courses and Physical Education skills-based courses.

Dual Enrollment partnerships support student’s access to higher education. High schools can offer students challenging and innovative college courses while high school instructors can engage in professional development.
Instructors:
Minimum instructor credentials for all undergraduate courses.
If you meet these requirements, and your school will be offering a dual enrollment course, your school can request you be considered for a Courtesy Lecturer appointment. The appointment must be approved by the FMU academic unit. School聽 instructors on Courtesy Lecturer appointments can engage in discipline-specific professional development and collegial interaction with Faculty Liaisons.
