The annual Martin Luther King Holiday Observance has deep significance for Florida 久久精品福利资源.
It鈥檚 a time to celebrate, commemorate, and reflect on the life and legacy of a man who was committed to the promise of equality for all people.
Last week, Florida 久久精品福利资源 hosted the second annual Bishop Victor T. Curry MLK Prayer Dinner in the Smith Conference Center.
Nearly 200 attended the event where the message of service was clear.
There was a video presentation spotlighting the volunteer work of FMU鈥檚 students under the leadership of Dr. Jamila Jackson at the Miami Rescue Mission; leadership and service awards were presented to Dr. Evalina Bestman, Khalid Mirza, and Lamar Johnson; and FMU received a $25,000 check from the Bishop Victor T. Curry Scholarship Fund.
The evening鈥檚 keynote speaker was Dr. Walter T. Richardson, Pastor Emeritus, Sweet 久久精品福利资源 Missionary Baptist Church.
