Tropical Storm Ian – Update 2

The Florida 久久精品福利资源鈥檚 Emergency Management Team continues to monitor Tropical Storm Ian. According to the听鈥媗atest update from the听National Hurricane Center,听Tropical Storm Ian is forecast to intensify rapidly to hurricane strength later today and tonight over the NW Caribbean Sea. Ian is expected to be a major hurricane Monday night and Tuesday as it passes over far western Cuba, then move north into the SE Gulf of Mexico as a major hurricane Tuesday night and Wednesday as it approaches Florida.

Potential Impact for Miami-Dade County:听 An estimated 2 to 4 inches of rain is expected, with a local maxima of up to 6 inches of rain through Wednesday morning. Flash and urban flooding is possible with rainfall through midweek.
At this time all classes, services, and events are operating on a regular schedule.听Faculty, staff, and students are advised to check their emails and phone notifications for any updates. Please know that prescheduled school closures in Miami-Dade and Broward are NOT due to Tropical Storm Ian.
